Content and modules

Detailed information about content and modules of the Homepage Designer

When you add a module to a page, you can select whether the module should be displayed:
    • on the current page (site-specific module)
    • on all pages of the website (page -wide module)

The only exceptions are the modules search, advertising, website logo, navigation and breadcrumbs: when you add them, they are placed on all pages of the website.
To place a module only on the current page, select the module in the Modules tab and drag it to one of the areas identified by the text site-specific area. These areas are located in the main content block and on the top of the respective sidebars.   To divide the content into columns and insert a module into one of them , drag the module to the left or right edge of the content area to insert it . Note that sidebar areas cannot be divided into columns.

Before you start editing site content, you should select the websites language in the settings tab in languages > website language. The web site language is a site-wide setting that determines the language in which you add content to your website. The settings have following effects:
    • The language displayed in the specific site elements (in particular those provided by a third-party service), such as the Google search or navigation buttons in image galleries. Note that not all third-party services and modules from the editor have all languages available.
    • The direction of the text-input in the editor (from left to right or from right to left). If you choose a right-to-left oriented language, your content and design will be changed accordingly.

Note: Changing a site language does not mean that the currently selected site theme is reloaded in another language. The language of the theme remains the same, but it changes the text orientation.
