Piwik Web Analytics Software

Piwik0Piwik is by the European data protection recommended, free alternative to Google Analytics. This open source web analytics software is based on PHP and MySQL.

Compared to other web analytics tools, Piwik has several advantages, such as: web analytics reports in real time. Furthermore, Piwik has the advantage that its features are encapsulated in plugins and thus very easy to add or remove features and functions. The controls of the user interface of Piwik can be easily adjusted to suit personal preferences by drag and drop. Unlike Google Analytics, the collected data is only stored on your hosting package and will not be shared elsewhere.

There are three ways to integrate Piwik into your website:
  • via Javascript
  • a simple image tracking code
  • with the Piwik Tracking API (either PHP, Python, Java, Ruby or Perl)

Important: We cannot offer free support for this software because of its large range of functions.

More information about Piwik can be found under piwik.org.
